  5.     This application is designed to assist the student in learning about chemical functional groups found in biological molecules.  One section of the application is a tutorial on functional groups.  
  6.     The application also contains simulations for the Benedict's and the Biuret tests.  For each of these simulated experiments, the students are asked to pose a hypothesis regarding the type of reaction they should observe for the particular food substances being tested in either the Benedict's or Biuret tests.

  8. Bio210Lab1 is used as a pre-lab exercise for Introductory Biology at Allegheny College.
